Our Story
Yuen Long District covers a vast piece of land in the northwest of the New Territories. Past generations mainly lived on farming, fishing and the production of salt and pearls. In recent years, the Government actively developed Yuen Long into an urban area, encouraging construction of private housing and enhancing transport networks, which attracted many young and new families to move into Yuen Long.
Primary Healthcare Service
The establishment of the "Yuen Long District Health Centre" (YLDHC) will provide a series of individual and family-based health risk assessments and health education for people residing and working in the District. They can enrol as members of YLDHC which will become their partner in primary healthcare leveraging on different levels of disease prevention.
